The Raktim Cultural Initiative (RCI) is also organising a musical programme today (first day of Eid al-Fitr). Singer and cultural activist Jeevan Sharma is coming to Qatar for the programme.

RCI Chairperson Humakanta Acharya says this will be Sharma’s first visit to Qatar and that he has weaved stories of Nepali migrants into a song. The programme will also be hosted at the Shalimar Palace. On the second day of Eid al-Fitr, Sas Creation is organising a Dhrumus Suntali Musical Programme in association with Kalyan Ghimire at Asian Town. Nepali popular comedy couple Sita Ram Kattel and Kanchana Ghimire (Dhurmus-Suntali), will be one of the top attractions of the programme. Dhurmus and Suntali opened the Dhurmas Suntali Foundation in Nepal to support people affected in last year’s earthquake. Top Nepali film actress Rekha Thapa will be another attraction of the programme.
